The Me, Myself & I armchair and sofa range has really impressed us for both its retro design and affordable pricing. This range looks equally effective in solid colours or two tone upholstery. Three armchairs are available each with a different back height plus matching sofa and coffee tables. Prices start from just £358* for the low back armchair and £441* for the two seater sofa.

The importance of service when buying office furniture

The provision of a quality pre & post sales service is just important as the furniture itself. Here are 5 questions to ask any potential office furniture supplier.

Can I evaluate chairs before I buy?
Office chairs need to accommodate many heights and weights, we provide chairs for evaluation and can recommend chairs for employees with health issues that may impact chair selection.

How can I be confident the desking or seating will fit in the space we have?
We can provide a free site survey and help you maximise your available space. Often, we can suggest space saving options and recommend furniture to suit your budget.

Will the furniture be supplied flat packed or fully assembled?
We are frequently asked to build flat packed furniture purchased from other office furniture suppliers. Often attractive internet deals will require self assembly – which is a large undertaking if you have ordered more than 10 chairs. As standard all the furniture we supply is assembled before delivery.

Will the furniture be positioned where we need it?
Some furniture suppliers only offer a doorstep delivery. We position your furniture where you need it.

How long is the furniture guaranteed for?
A chair which is guaranteed for 1 year will typically be suitable for light use. It’s a false economy to buy cheap office chairs and in our experience one or more important components fail quickly; spindles, action, back rests, castors, arms.

10 considerations when buying office chairs

Length of the chair guarantee
The majority of our quality office chairs are guaranteed for 5 years. This is an important consideration bearing in mind the constant use of an office chair.

Chair mechanism
Chairs need to be able to comfortably seat a range of users with multiple weights and heights. A quality mechanism and additional features such as Seat Slide and Inflatable Lumbar support ensure the chair can provide an ergonomic fit for any user. Seat Slide is a useful feature enabling the chair to be altered to accommodate users with a range of legs lengths. See our mechanism guide.

Arms
You can choose chairs with arms or without. Arm types include Fixed Arms, Adjustable Arms or Fold Back Arms (ideal to accommodate the preferences of different users). See the Rio task chair for an example of foldback chairs.

Height of back
Most task chairs are available with a medium or high back. Tall users in particular will benefit from a high backed task chair

Mesh or upholstered
This is really down to personal preference. An upholstered back may provide additional support but a mesh back provides ventilation.

Budget
Low cost chairs generally have less features that restrict adjustment. We have chairs to suit every budget – without compromising on length of guarantee and can often provide chairs so that employees can evaluate them prior to purchase.

Weight of users
If your chairs need to suit users of up to 150Kg (23 stones) you may want to consider the Posturemax chair range and if you have users of up to 200Kg (31 stones) you may want to consider the Posturemax 200.

Fabric choice
There is a myriad of choice and we can make suggestions and send you fabric samples to assist you. We can usually match existing furniture or desk screens if required.

Fully assembled chairs or flatpack
As standard all our chairs are supplied fully assembled prior to delivery and placed where you need them. We can supply boxed items as required.

24hr usage
In some work environments chairs are used for 24 hours. In these siuations we always recommend a chair designed and manufactured for 24 hour use such as Ergonomic Task 24 or Posturemax.
