Our skilled upholsterers replace all seat and back foam with CHMR (Combustion Modified High Resilience) foam and you can choose from thousands of fabric types and colours whether you need to modernise, match other furniture or reflect new branding. In addition to new fabric and foam we also clean and service the frames, we check for frame damage and replace feet as required. We return your furniture transformed, looking like new and ready to serve you for many more years.

School holiday reupholstery service

With schools out for summer in just 12 weeks time – now is the time to book your free site survey for any ‘holiday’ seating repairs, reupholstery and renovation. We reupholster all types of school seating including sofas, computer chairs and benches and our customers often save up to 80% against buying new seating.  In most cases reupholstery is a very attractive option but if a chair is beyond cost effective repair we provide a no obligation quotation for its replacement. We provide a free collection and delivery service* within 50 miles of Reading in Berkshire and can carry out reupholstery in the school holidays for minimum disruption. We also offer an onsite french polishing service for tables, banisters, wood panelling etc.

We often reccomend Camira Cara or Camira Lucia fabric ranges for screens, both are very popular vertical surface fabrics, Cara is a plain weave panel fabric used extensively on desk screens, wallsides and on pin boards. What choices are there for reupholstering office chairs?

Colour scheme

Reupholstering office chairs provides an excellent opportunity to modernise the look and feel of your office. We can of course reupholster to match existing furniture but often customers would prefer a visual transformation.  Operator and task seating may be reupholstered in one fabric or in a contrasting fabric for the seat and back, for example a black seat and red back looks very effective.

For reception and breakout sofas, armchairs and booth seating you may prefer a contrasting combination of faux leathers or natural fabrics such as wool or hemp. A two-tone colour scheme creates interest and opportunities to coordinate with other office furniture and decor.

Fabric type & characteristics

Your choice of fabric will depend on your work environment and usage as well as the impression you’d like to make.  We provide free guidance on fabric selection and have many years experience working with fabrics from leading manufactuers. For operator and task chairs the Camira Pheonix fabric range is very popular, this crepe weave fabric is available in 30 colours and is guaranteed for 10 years.  Another market leading fabric for office seating is Camira Advantage – a plain weave fabric, again guaranteed for 10 years and available in 4o colours.

Faux leathers are an excellent choice due to their wearability, stain resistance and easy cleaning. A popular choice for reupholstery is Camira Vita which is a leather-look vinyl, with a subtle surface grain effect and full matt appearance.
